PR Emulator Questions

It's so great to have this new feature in Proxy Scraper!

I have a few questions about it:

I have a few servers with GSA SER, but none of them has Proxy Scraper installed on them. Instead I use a separate server for Proxy Scraper/Platform Identifier and Scrapebox.

1. How can I use the PR Emulator feature with my other servers with SER? SER is installed on server A, Proxy Scraper is installed on server B.
2. Now that PR Emulator is a big thing, can it be integrated with Platform Identifier as well so we can filter by it?

Test Proxies Incorrect

Hello,

I downloaded the GSA Proxy Scraper v1.71 software in its demo version.
The software ran about 15 minutes and I scrap 1500 proxies. In the "Status" column, all proxies were with status "Successfully tested"
I imported all proxies in Scrapebox software and verification only 470 proxies are working properly.
Is this normal? Should we change the test source? I saw that it was possible to test source Scrapebox, but how it works? API?

Proxy Scraper Export issue

In latest update of GSA Proxy Scraper you might see less exported proxies as before. Thats due to a new export setting the for Anonymous Status. You have to edit your Export Template and Also check "Unknown" in that box to get the same amount of exports as before.

Feature Request - Auto retest not working proxies

We export only working proxies and find that between the scheduler running and re-testing all working proxies, many need to be retested to then be marked as working.

It would be cool if there was a configurable schedule to re-test not working proxies, separate to the re-testing that is done with the scheduler.

which proxy option should be chosen in gsa ser ?

I saw there are 6 options in gsa ser proxy finder...AUTO, CONNECT, WEB, SOCKS4,SOCKS5 AND CGI...what is that and which one should be selected?
Please advise as i am new to gsa ser.Thanks.

How to revert 'Set Proxy In Browser'

Hi.

So I activated the internal proxy server and clicked to set the proxy in browser because I wanted to visit a site using Firefox where it was useful for me to rotate some proxies on. But now when I start Firefox I get the message 'The proxy server is refusing connections' so to fix this I go to Options > Advanced > Network > Settings and click No Proxy.

The problem is that I have to now do this every time I start Firefox even when Proxy Scraper isn't running.

Any idea how to revert the changes so that when Proxy Server closes, it reverts the browser back to No Proxy?

Multiple Tags

Hi,
I noticed in the tag column it has public, google, bing, and the custom one i set up for my website to be used. Under provider i have anonymouse, anonymouseproxylist.net, and my website listed only.

Is there a way i can make it stop testing against bing and google? I figure if its testing against them.. its not necessary and wasted cycles.

PS & Scrapebox - what am I missing?

I recently bought PS, mainly for the URL metrics scanner.

Then I thought, while I got the program, I might as well have it scrape a couple of proxies for Scrapebox (for GSA SER I use buyproxies)

I tried several configurations / filters, and I understand that Scrapebox cannot deal with connect proxies. But no matter how I configure the software (socks, web only, google tag etc.), whenever I test the working proxies in SB I get 0 working ones.

A small percentage passes the anonymity test, but 0 ones work with Google..

@Sven - is there anything I'm completely overlooking here?

Hi @Sven,

I'm completely stoked by the possibilites of Proxy Scraper / URL metrics tool. Those bucks were damn well spent.

Now that I've got the hang of this brilliant PR replacement, I miss one simple switch I'm quite familiar with from your other GSA products: "minimize to tray".

Autostart is also an issue here - putting PS in there won't do the trick, as I'd prefer to start PS & the metrics tool. Restarts do happen... so that would be a great feature for the next release.

Before I buy GSA Proxy Scraper , I have some question about it:
- Do GSA Proxy Scraper auto connect with GSA search engine ranker to check CF & TF like PR option in GSA search engine ranker.
- Do it auto checks when GSA search engine build link

[Need help] Proxy scheduler

Hi, i just buy this software today!

I used this software with gscraper, its giving amazing speed! >9000 url/minutes ! whoa amazing speed for a public proxy! Impressive software!

but, after running 2 hours the speed down badly! now its only 500url minutes! i think this do because google blacklist the proxy i use. 

To anticipate this i set interval for automatically search a new proxies to "15 minutes" with thread 200, and 5000mili second time out, other time out 5000milisecond to.

But after 5 hours running, its doesnt run the scheduler... why, this a bug ? ?

and how often this software on retesting working proxy ? can we modified it ?

btw when i try use automatically export with interval 5 minutes, i see PS export less proxy, when im seeing there are alot of working google proxy on the program. example, PS export only 60 google passed proxy, when there are 100 google passed proxy on the program ??? this a bug again ?

And when use "activate internal proxy server" its consume a lot of cpu process... please fix this one.

Whenever Proxy scraper finishes scraping, error message pops up asking do i want to continue app, restart or close.

Hi @Sven,

Is there a way to tell proxy scraper to only use proxies which are matching several tag at once? For example I would like to have proxies exported or used in the internal server which are google passed AND scrapebox passed.

Get rid of dedicated proxies and just use PS?

This script is great for the url metric scanner alone. I have 30 dedicated proxies that SER and Indexer use and I'm wondering if I can just use PS and get rid of the dedicated proxies. 

If so how do I set that up in both scripts? Do I just disable proxies on both?

(Tools-Search engine parser) Hello Time to wait between requests 10 Seconds. If you enter 1 second or 5 seconds automatically puts the 10. This was done on purpose or it is a bug after the update ?

Feeding proxies to GSA SER

I thought I had this working before, but can someone walk me through the process? I have PS saving a text file to a folder. Then under Add/Edit ProxySites in SER, I have add the location for this folder. I have SER set to Automatically Search For New Proxies every 5 minutes (I will increase this when I get this working properly). SER log says "Searching and testing for new proxies..."
"Testing 0 Proxies..."
"Proxy testing finished"

I know that the location I have saved the proxy TXT file in has data in it. But SER doesn't seem to be picking it up. Any ideas why?
